The Department of English tools its birth along with the birth of the college in the year 1983. It started its journey with a modest number of students for English, with a single lecturer. It has been a long journey since then. Striving for excellence in higher education with an inclusive and humane approach is a never ending process.

          The fact that our students hail from the surrounding rural areas from non-English speaking families posed a challenge for us to alleviate the fears of speaking in a foreign language. But we never gave up, the effort is still going on……..
