Since the inception of MRR.Government Degree College, Udayagiri in the year1983, the Department of History has been functioning as one of the core departments. The
Department follows the curriculum approved by the Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore. TheDepartment has endeavored to enlighten the students with a deep knowledge about the history ofancient, medieval and modern India and world in general, and Andhra Pradesh in particular.
