History

College History
Founded in 1983 through generous contributions from philanthropists, community members, and social workers, this college has been a beacon of hope for the most underprivileged sections of the district. Despite limited infrastructure, it has remained steadfast in its commitment to providing quality higher education in one of the most backward regions of Andhra Pradesh. The majority of students hail from economically disadvantaged rural backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities such as SC, BC, and Minority groups.
        Originally operating from the premises of the present Government Junior College in Udayagiri, the institution later relocated to its own expansive 15-acre campus. This transition was made possible through the generosity of Sri S.G. Khaja Moiddin, son of Rasool Saheb of Udayagiri, along with the unwavering support of the Mekapati brothers and other dedicated committee members, who collectively raised the necessary funds of ₹2.5 lakhs in 1983. Social worker and activist Sri Malakondaiah played a crucial role in turning this vision into reality.
     The college is dedicated to equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate economic, social, and environmental challenges. It offers a range of educational opportunities and support services that enable students to complete their degrees, advance their careers, and develop essential life skills. By fostering critical thinking, effective communication, creativity, and cultural awareness, the institution nurtures both personal and professional growth in a secure, inclusive, and affordable learning environment.
